Former Iowa Attorney General Bonnie Campbell and more join the 60+ elected and civic leaders that are already backing Konfrst as the best candidate to defeat Nunn

Windsor Heights, IA -  Ten additional local electeds, organized labor leaders, and community advocates have endorsed state rep. Jennifer Konfrst for congress in Iowa's Third Congressional District. This adds to Konfrst’s unparalleled support in this race from trusted Iowa community leaders.

New endorsers from the slate include former Iowa Attorney General Bonnie Campbell, Des Moines City Councilor Josh Mandelbaum, Iowa Central Building Trades Executive Director Sam Groark, former AFSCME Council 61 president Danny Homan, and former Iowa Planned Parenthood President and CEO Jill June.

Endorsers cited Konfrst’s deep Iowa roots and values, strong record of delivering real results for Iowans in the state legislature, focus on the issues that matter most to Iowans, and ability to beat Nunn in 2026 as their reasons to support her race for Congress.

“Jennifer is exactly the kind of tough, principled fighter we need to beat Zach Nunn,” said Bonnie Campbell. “Her work ethic is unmatched and so is her dedication to Iowans– I know she’ll roll up her sleeves to get to work to win this race and focus on what Iowans need.”

“I've known Jennifer since before either of us were in elected office,” said Josh Mandelbaum.

“She's consistently stood up for our shared values and taken on the tough fights. She brings people together to support solutions to our problems and get results for Iowans. She's the leader that we need in Congress.”

“When working class Iowans are under attack, Jennifer has never hesitated to stand up and fight back,” said Sam Groark. “I’m backing Jennifer because I know she’ll never waver on fighting for what really makes a difference for Iowan workers: bringing down costs, protecting collective bargaining, promoting responsible workforce development, and  investing in bringing good-paying jobs to our state.”

“Jennifer was raised in a family with strong union values and she knows that our unions build the foundation for so many Iowa families,” said Danny Homan. “We need someone who understands what working class Iowans need in Congress and I know Jennifer is that person.”

“Jennifer has been a steadfast champion for reproductive freedom and accessible healthcare across Iowa,” said Jill June. “In a post-Roe America, we need principled leaders like her in Congress to keep the government out of the exam rooms and defend the freedoms Iowans rely on.”
